DoverPhila Federal Credit Union is partnering with the United Way of Tuscarawas County to provide funds during the coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis.
On Thursday, March 26, the credit union’s Board of Directors approved a $25,000 donation to fund United Way’s COVID-19 community-response fund. The fund will be used to help residents of Tuscarawas County with various needs as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
The coronavirus outbreak is causing unemployment to sky-rocket and putting thousands of local residents in distress and in a financial crisis. The Tuscarawas County commissioners recently announced the county was in a public health emergency.
“Tuscarawas County has given its support and fueled the growth of DoverPhila for nearly 67 years and I am proud that we have the full support of our Board to give back to those who have been impacted in our community,” said Jason Garner, Chief Executive Officer of DoverPhila Federal Credit Union.
